the process

step one  /  inquiry

Head over to the Contact Me page to send me an inquiry. I'll get back to you with all the info and we will chat about how to make your photo experience as amazing as you are.

step two  /  let's make it official

You'll text me "Hell yeah let's do this", I'll send over a contract and invoice, and we'll get everything signed and filled out. A signed contract and a paid 50% retainer are required to keep your name and date on my calendar. If the date is less than 45 days out when you sign the contract, the invoice is required to be paid in full.

step three  /  planning

Once we've both signed the dotted line, we will start planning your day! For weddings and elopements, this means I will help plan your engagement session, custom timeline, shot list, share my preferred vendor list, and so much more. For regular sessions, this is where we will go over locations, outfits, my tips/tricks, and whatever other questions you may have.

step four  /  the day of

This is the my favorite part! We party your wedding day away, spend your elopement adventuring together, or spend your session having a bomb ass time together.

step Five  /  delivery day

You'll receive an email with your online gallery where you will be able to relive all your special moments. From there, you will be able to view, download, and share your images!
Regular Sessions have a turnaround time of three to five weeks.
Weddings and elopements have a turnaround time of four to six weeks.
Sneak peeks are always sent within 48 hours of photography experience.

Almost 7 years.
MMP got its start in the walls of the yearbook room during my sophomore year of high school (2016). I took the class by chance and fully planned on dropping it at semester, but I fell in love with photography in that small classroom and I haven't looked back since.

While photography is my true love, its definitely not my only gig. In one half of my life, I get to live my dream and work as a professional photographer but in the other, I work as a certified nursing assistant at one of my local nursing homes.
I can assure you that while photography isn't my only job, that it will not affect you as my client. You and your moments come first, always.

Easy. I’m all about YOU.
I’m not the girl who will show up, snap a few pictures then leave. I am the photographer who makes you my top priority. I will stop and grab some orange juice for the mimosas and I'll video chat you at 2 in the morning to help you pick out an outfit for your session—anything and everything, babes. And I’m going to make your session whatever YOU want it to be. A session for you and your husband? Let’s turn it into a date night—bring the snacks and the booze. A family session and your kids’ favorite place is the beach? I’ll bring my swimsuit and the s’mores. You’re training to be a pilot? Let’s head down to the runway and take some pictures with some planes.
That’s why I'm different—I’m the photographer that cares about you. It’s that simple. Bring your soulmate, your family, your best friends, or just you—and lets make some memories.

Yes! I always require a 50% non-refundable retainer that will reserve your date in my calendar and officially make you a MMP client. The retainer is typically due 7 days after I send the contract your way, but I almost always  am okay with working something else out if needed.
That being said, I do require that if the date is less than 45 days out when you sign the contract, the invoice is to be paid in full.

Every session that requires travel has a different price, so you will get a customized quote no matter where your session is! While my travel fees are subject to change depending on the project, this is what I base those fees off of.
If traveling by car:
A $.58/mile charge will be incurred for any travel over 50 miles outside of my current city.
If travel time exceeds two hours, an additional charge may be incurred to cover lodging expenses.
If traveling by plane:
The expenses for airfare and lodging will be added to your invoice. A rental car may be added onto your invoice depending on the travel arrangements of the client.

Part of the planning process is helping you find the perfect outfit so don't worry - I got ya. I have a small client closet (very limited, but I do have it available), I have endless Pinterest inspo to send you, and a full style guide is in the works (and it will be released sometime 2024).

can we bring our pets?

my partner hates photos - how do you handle that?

will you capture every moment?

What if we cancel/reschedule?

what if there's bad weather?

What should we wear?

Next question >

I will be in contact with you the day of or the day before your session so that we can decide if the weather is permitting for your session. I am almost always willing to go out and embrace the weather, so really its up to you unless I think my gear might get damaged.
If we do need to reschedule, we will put your retainer towards the next available date that works for both of us. This will NOT count as your one rescheduling request as you have no control over the weather, so you can still reschedule your new date if need be, but your retainer will remail nonrefundable.

Next question >

No matter what, your retainer fee is nonrefundable. When I put your name down on my calendar, I am turning away other potential clients in order to serve you.
For rescheduling, I allow one rescheduling request per client/session with at least five days notice. Notices that are less than 5 days will result in a $75 rescheduling fee. More than one rescheduling of your session will also result in a $75 rescheduling fee.
If you cancel your session or do not show up to your session, your retainer remains non-refundable. If you no call-no show to your session, you will not be taken as a client again.
I do understand that sometimes, everything that can go wrong, does, and you just have no control over the situation. Reach out and we will make something work!

Next question >

Yes - there is no doubt in my mind that I will get every moment. This is why timelines and shot lists are so, so, SO important to photographers. The only way I can make sure I get to photograph every moment that is important to you is if I know beforehand where to be and what shots you are very specifically expecting. It is part of my planning process to go over these things with you, so I will make sure that we have these details completely sorted out before the big day.

Next question >

Just give me a heads up on how your partner feels. I try my hardest to make every session feel like a date night or a hang out instead of a photo session, and these are just some of the ways I do that:
-I only use prompts that are as non "posey" as possible so you both forget you're even in front of the camera.
-Music, babyyyy. I will always have my playlist playing, and if you have a specific playlist you feel more comfortable with, we'll turn that on instead.
-I come into each and every session with a clear plan on what prompts and poses to give you so there's no awkward standing around time.

I do not photoshop anything that is drastic - I will only photoshop temporary imperfections such as acne, bruises, out of place hairs, etc. I encourage all my clients to let me know of any insecurities beforehand so that I can do my part in avoiding anything they don't want in your photos. Anything outside those requests are services I do not provide.
I am here to capture you as you are - the real, messy, beautiful you.

When you sign a contract with me, you do agree to not edit the original photos by filtering or changing the coloring. Clients are expected to have reviewed my previous work in my portfolio before booking and should have a good expectation of what the final images will look like - once a filter has been added on top of my work, it no longer represents me or my photography style and can strongly mislead other clients.

No - while there are going to be many amazing shots from your session, there will be just as many if not more 'duds' from the session where there are unflattering angles, eyes closed, open mouths, etc. I only include the absolute best images in my galleries, and if a photo does not meet my requirements it will not be included. Don't worry, I will always deliver every image I think you might want.
